The Oyo State Government has announced plans to support 1,000 young agropreneurs with a ₦1.5 billion fund in a renewed push to expand its agribusiness sector.   The Director-General of the Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency (OYSADA) and Executive Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde on Agribusiness and International Cooperation, Dr Debo Akande, made the disclosure on Monday during the Omituntun 2.0 Inter-Ministerial Briefing held at the Governor’s Office in Ibadan.,   Dr Akande revealed that the state has so far trained 5,020 youths in various aspects of agribusiness, noting that 1,000 of those with active enterprises are to benefit from a government-backed financing initiative in collaboration with First City Monument Bank (FCMB).   He also stated that the Makinde-led administration has attracted over ₦46.6 billion in agribusiness investments and accessed nearly $170 million in international development and agribusiness funds. The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has accused the Presidency of orchestrating a plot to destabilise the growing opposition coalition ahead of the 2027 general elections.   The party's claim comes amid internal legal and political challenges, including a suit filed at the Federal High Court in Abuja by three aggrieved members seeking to sack the Senator David Mark-led interim leadership of the party.   Amid these developments, the immediate past national chairman of the ADC, Ralph Nwosu, warned that the newly formed opposition coalition could collapse under the pressure of conflicting interests and rival political factions if not carefully managed.   Meanwhile, former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Babachir Lawal, announced his departure from the All Progressives Congress (APC). UFC icon, Ben Askren undergoes double lung transplant surgery

Former UFC fighter and Bellator champion, Ben Askren, has undergone a successful double lung transplant one week after being placed on the waiting list due to severe pneumonia that left him on a ventilator in critical condition.    His wife, Amy Askren, shared an emotional update on social media Monday morning, expressing gratitude and hope for his recovery.   "We are so thankful to share that Ben has received a double lung transplant," Amy wrote. "We are forever thankful to the donor and his family. This is the beginning of a new lifestyle for Ben, but every new day he has is a gift. It still doesn't feel real that he was walking around completely healthy just five weeks ago. Transgender Nigerian, Miss Sahhara slams Victoria Inyama for saying Bolu Okupe shouldn't have made his sexual orientation public

Miss Sahhara has slammed actress Victoria Inyama for the comment she made after Bolu Okupe came out as gay.   Victoria reacted to Bolu's revelation by telling him that he "didn't need to announce it."     Miss Sahhara hit back, telling Victoria that she needs to get an education if she's advocating for gay men to keep quiet about their sexuality.   Miss Sahhara added that she's even more appalled because she heard Victoria has a degree in Social Psychology yet she has no idea how best to handle such a situation.   Thanks for Reading
