Lindblad's car number confirmed for rookie season


Arvid Lindblad will join the grid as 2026's sole rookie driver, competing with Racing Bulls.


Arvid Lindblad will compete under the number 41 in his debut season with Racing Bulls following his graduation from Formula 2, the FIA entry list has confirmed.

The 18-year-old claimed three victories and a further two podiums during his time in the feeder series, finishing the year sixth in the standings with 134 points to earn himself a promotion to Formula 1 as part of the Red Bull family.

Lindblad has been part of the Red Bull Junior Team since 2021 and progressed through the ranks rapidly, completing just one season in Formula 3 and F2 before he was announced as Isack Hadjar's replacement at Racing Bulls, with the French driver set to partner Max Verstappen at the senior Red Bull team in 2026.

Lindblad most recently took part in the post-season test, where he completed 139 laps and ended the day 0.014s adrift of his future team mate Liam Lawson.

The pair will be aiming to equal or even improve upon Racing Bulls' P6 finish in the Constructors' Championship this season, which included a magnificent maiden podium for Hadjar in the Netherlands.

The rookie will also become the first driver to race with the number 41 as the official entry list also details Verstappen's switch to the number 3, and confirms that World Champion Lando Norris will inherit the honour of number 1.

Cuba charges former Minister with espionage and other crimes

Cuban prosecutors have formally charged former economy minister Alejandro Gil with espionage and a range of other serious offences, including bribery, embezzlement, tax evasion, and money laundering, the Attorney General’s Office announced on Friday evening.   Gil, 61, served as Minister of Economy and Planning from 2019 until February 2024, when he was abruptly removed from office. Soon after, authorities revealed that he was under investigation for what they described at the time as “committing serious errors,” though no further details were provided.   In the new statement, prosecutors said they had asked that Gil and other unnamed individuals be held accountable for “crimes of espionage” and “acts detrimental to economic activity.”   The statement also cited a long list of alleged offences, including embezzlement, bribery, falsification of public documents, influence peddling, money laundering, tax evasion, and violation of classified document protection r...
