Brazilian vice president arrives Nigeria for strategic dialogue


The Vice President of Brazil, Geraldo Alckmin, and his wife, Maria Alckmin, arrived in Nigeria on Tuesday, June 24, to participate in the Second Session of the Nigeria-Brazil Strategic Dialogue Mechanism (SDM), signalling a major step in bilateral relations between the two nations.

 

The delegation touched down at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja and was received by top Nigerian officials, including Deputy Chief of Staff to the President Senator Ibrahim Hadejia, and Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole.

 

Other officials present to welcome the Brazilian delegation included the Minister of Livestock Development, Idi Maiha, and the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari.
