IPOB defends Eastern Security Network's clash with soldiers in Orlu

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has defended the clash between its security outfit, the Eastern Security Network (ESN) and the miitary on Monday January 25 in Orlu, Imo state. 

 

IPOB’s spokesman Emma Powerful in a statement released on Tuesday January 26, accused Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo state of working with the Army to attack and flush out ESN officers from the bushes where they are operating from.

 

While the Nigerian Army said only one person died in the crossfire that ensued, IPOB insisted that five people were killed and several others were injured in the skirmish between ESN and soldiers drawn from the 34 Artillery Brigade in Obinze.

 

“ESN personnel are in the bush and forest chasing…terrorists and herdsmen who are over there terrorising our members and sisters in their respective farms, not Nigeria security agencies but they are looking for ESN’s trouble.

“Since the formation and inauguration of ESN by our great leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, on December 12, 2020, they have been inside the bushes and forests; their job is to protect farmers from invaders who made pronouncements that all lands in Nigeria belong to them.

“Every time, Nigerian Army and the police would come and look for their trouble in the bush."

Founding member of Feminist.Co, Jola Ayeye reveals what her dad did when he noticed she was upset

Jola Ayeye, one of the founding members of Feminist.Co who took care of protesters during the End SARS demonstration, has revealed what her dad did for her and questioned why she should move out.   She explained that her father Kola Ayeye noticed she was upset and she later came back to her room to find a bouquet of flowers and a teddy from him.   She added: "Later you people will be asking me question about when I'll  move out.  To go where please?"

Larry King's widow; Shawn King contests his amended will

 Larry King’s widow, Shawn King is contesting a handwritten amended will written by the late talk show host and has gone to court to challenge Larry King Jr.’s move to become a special administrator of the estate.   Shawn Southwick King, 61, who was married to Larry King since 1997, is contesting the 2019 will, the Los Angeles Times reported. The document, known as a holographic will, left the radio and television talk show host’s estimated $2 million estate to his five children, the newspaper reported.   His children are Larry King Jr. and his two sons with Shawn King: Chance King, 21, and Cannon King, 20. Two of his children from his marriage to his third wife, Alene Akins, died within three weeks of each other in 2020, Us magazine reported.
