The Onyeka Nwelue Show is back on TV!


After a hiatus, The Onyeka Nwelue Show, an Original Linda Ikeji TV, is back with a second season. 

 

Executive produced by Linda Ikeji and Ugochukwu “TerryTheVoice” Odenigbo, the new edition is produced by Mmamello Matake and directed by Dan Akinlolu. 

 

In the first episode of the second season, the talk-show host, Nwelue, speaks to South African filmmaker and writer, Lidudumalingani Mqombothi about writing, race, xenophobia and filmmaking.

Utah governor Spencer Cox has sparked criticism after he said Friday, September 12, that he had hoped Charlie Kirk's shooter "wouldn’t be one of us".  On Friday, it was announced that the suspect arrested for the a$$assination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk is Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old white man from a pro-gun family with parents who are registered Republicans.  Speaking at a press conference, Cox said while he was grateful for the quick arrest of a suspect in Charlie Kirk’s a$$assination, he had hoped the suspect “wouldn’t be one of us,” hoping it would be someone from another state or country.  He said he thought it would “make it easier” to be able to say, “We don’t do that here.”  “For 33 hours, I was praying that if this had to happen here that it wouldn't be one of us — that somebody drove from another state, somebody came from another country… Sadly, that prayer was not answered the way I hoped for… But it did happen here, and it was one...

Nine police officers at Britain’s busiest police station are suspended over ‘racist, homophobic and misogynistic conduct’

Nine officers at Charing Cross police station in central London have been suspended following allegations of racist, homophobic, and misogynist behaviour, the Metropolitan Police and the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) confirmed.    The suspensions follow an undercover BBC investigation in which a reporter obtained a job as a civilian detention worker and secretly recorded officers allegedly making offensive remarks at the station and while socialising outside work.   The probe also includes allegations of excessive force against prisoners. The Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards (DPS) carried out searches of lockers, seizing computers and phones, and effectively sealed off a floor of the station. Nine serving officers were suspended, two removed from frontline duties, and leadership changes were announced in the custody team and Westminster command.   Assistant Commissioner Matt Twist described the reported behaviour as “disgraceful”...

Chelsea charged by FA with 74 alleged breaches over agent payments from 2009-2022

Chelsea have been hit with a total of 74 charges by the Football Association (FA) with the governing body alleging breaches of their regulations on working with football agents, intermediaries and third party investment in players.   The charges range from 2009 to 2022 and primarily between the 2010/11 and 2015/16 seasons. Chelsea have until September 19 to respond.   A statement from the FA read: "The Football Association has today charged Chelsea FC with breaches of Regulations J1 and C2 of The FA Football Agents Regulations, Regulations A2 and A3 of The FA Regulations on Working with Intermediaries, and Regulations A1 and B3 of The FA Third Party Investment in Players Regulations. In total, 74 charges have been brought against Chelsea FC.   "The conduct that is the subject of the charges ranges from 2009 to 2022 and primarily relates to events which occurred between the 2010/11 to 2015/16 playing seasons. Chelsea FC has until 19 September 2025 to respond."...
