The Onyeka Nwelue Show is back on TV!


After a hiatus, The Onyeka Nwelue Show, an Original Linda Ikeji TV, is back with a second season. 

 

Executive produced by Linda Ikeji and Ugochukwu “TerryTheVoice” Odenigbo, the new edition is produced by Mmamello Matake and directed by Dan Akinlolu. 

 

In the first episode of the second season, the talk-show host, Nwelue, speaks to South African filmmaker and writer, Lidudumalingani Mqombothi about writing, race, xenophobia and filmmaking.

US President Donald Trump has intensified his attacks on Somali immigrants for a second consecutive day, claiming they have “destroyed Minnesota” and “destroyed our country.” His remarks come amid growing criticism that he is using inflammatory language toward migrant communities.   Speaking to reporters, Trump described Minnesota as “a hellhole right now,” asserting that Somali residents “should be out of here” and that “all they do is complain.” His comments follow recent fraud cases involving individuals of Somali descent accused in Covid relief schemes that netted more than $1 billion. A Nigerian woman has gone viral online after boldly shooting her shot at a man she admired on the platform.   The woman identified as Sade, publicly expressed her interest, noting that she sees him as “a man of value” and would love the chance to get to know him better.   Shortly after her message gained attention, the man, named Tunde responded. He began by commending her courage and acknowledging that they had interacted a few times on the app. However, he politely declined her advances, explaining that he would not be able to pursue further conversations at the moment.

NATO Allies vow major new purchases of US Arms for Ukraine

NATO countries pledged on Wednesday, December 3, to buy hundreds of millions more dollars of US arms for Ukraine, sending a strong signal of continued support despite ongoing US-led peace talks with Moscow. Foreign ministers from the 32-nation alliance gathered in Brussels to discuss Washington’s push to end the fighting.   The gathering comes shortly after US envoys appeared to fail to make a major breakthrough in five hours of talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.   NATO chief Mark Rutte emphasized the need to strengthen Ukraine's position regardless of the pace of negotiations.
